80/20 Case Study - Water Tunnel
80/20 is no stranger to college campuses and research projects. In this case, 80/20 has been used by the University of Notre Dame to build the structure of a water tunnel.
A water tunnel is used much like a wind tunnel but with special dyes, lasers and high speed cameras to capture and map the flow of water around the object being tested. This submission came with several applications and the creator states he could never have enough 80/20. "The nice part about 80/20 type of material is that it can be taken apart and rebuilt into something else, or added to rather easily especially when compared to a welded structure."
