80/20 Case Study - Kinect Chair
If you thought the Microsoft Kinect controller for Xbox was just for video games, think again. Members of Channel 9, and Code 4 Fun, a community and video resource devoted to software developers for Microsoft systems, created this hands free drivable chair dubbed "Project Jellybean".
Jellybean is a motorized recliner that uses the kinect to control a multi-directional drive to move the chair forward, back, and side to side as well as control the recliner and footrest. The creators of Jellybean used 1530 profiles and said, "We loved working with 80/20 because it was like working with adult Legos".
